China sees 2007 cement output up about 10 per cent YoY state planner

China’s cement output in 2007 is expected to rise about 10 per cent YoY, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said in a report published on its website. The country produced 1.24 bln tons of cement in 2006, up 15.5 pct, generating total sector profit of 15 bln yuan, up 92.6 pct, the NDRC said. It expects total profit for the sector in 2007 to increase even Demand for construction materials, including cement, will keep rising in 2007, but the growth rate is expected to ease slightly, it said.
