Alternative Fuel in Sancti Spiritus’ Cement Factory

The Siguaney cement factory in the Cuban central province of Sancti Spiritus will soon begin to substitute fuels by industrial wastes, thus applying the co-processing method used worldwide.

According to Eduardo Vazquez, head coordinator for environmental management in the factory, this alternative procedure will allow the substitution of over 9000t of fuel a year which mean a million pesos saving.

The expert added that the abovementioned method cheapen the costs of the manufacture process while preserving the environment, a top importance feature to be taken into consideration.
