Cementos de Portland Valderrivas, Spain’s largest cement manufacturer, said its net profit last year grew 28.3 per cent to EUR175.9m as revenues increased 49.9 per cent to EUR1.466bn on the back of acquisitions. 
 
Demand for cement in Spain remained high due to a massive public works and property construction boom.
