To rein in soaring inflation in the country, India’s Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, has urged the industry to resist from raising prices of essential commodities. 
 
He also urged it to enhance its supplies to narrow down the supply-demand mismatch. 
 
While interacting with an Assocham delegation recently, the Prime Minister also expressed concern over the rising cement prices and advised the chamber to interact with its members and persuade them to bring it down.
