JK Cement Ltd. said late on Saturday it had taken over the assets of Nihon Nirmaan Ltd from lender IDBI Ltd for INR420m.
 
JK plans to make 300,000-350,000t of grey cement at the unit, which is expected to start operations in the Oct-Dec quarter, it said in a statement. 
 
JK’s current capacity stands at 4Mt of grey cement and 350,000t of white cement.
