29 January 2007

Jamaica’s Caribbean Cement Company (CCCL) will finish the US$133m expansions to its kiln five by mid-2008, government information service JIS quoted project manager Ken Wiltshire as saying.

CCCL, a subsidiary of Trinidad Cement Ltd. (TCL), began the expansions in January 2005, and has completed about 50% of the project, said Wiltshire.

Since then, CCCL has purchased 80% of all major equipment, and initiated all major construction work, added the manager.
