West China Cement Ltd said it will commission milling capacity at its new production site in Lantian, central northwestern China, slightly ahead of schedule in February, allowing early sales of cement.

The Chinese producer and distributor of cement said firing of the kiln at the site, which is still under construction, is expected in March, with the plant scheduled to reach capacity from mid-year.

West China Cement, which was admitted to AIM in December, said progress at the Lantian 2 plant remains on schedule.
