KHD Humboldt Wedag International Ltd has received a $50m contract to make a cement production line for Russian cement maker JUGPK Novotoizk.

KHD said it will service the project through its German units in Cologne and Deassau. The company said the contract expands its work in Russia and bolsters its business with major developing countries, including China and India.

The line, which will be in Jushcno-Uralskaja Gorno-Pererabatuwajuschtschaja, Russia, is expected to go into production in 2008, with capacity of 3,000 tons per day.

In November, KDH Humboldt reported third-quarter earnings of $10.3 million, or 67 cents per share, on revenue of $102.9 million.
