Cement producer Jordan Cement Factories Co (JCFC) booked a net profit of JOD50.6m (US$71.4m) for the first nine months of 2006, an increase from JOD48.8m (US$68.9m ) posted a year ago.
 
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at JOD 0.84 ($1.19) for the period from January to September 2006, up from JOD 0.8 (US$1.13) in the same period of 2005. 
 
Total assets were JOD 223.9m (US$316m). 
 
In April 2006, JCFC said it would raise its annual capacity to 5.5Mt in 2008.
