Cimpor) acquired Lafarge Yibitas Orta Anadolu Çimento, a cement manufacturer, for EUR 535mn (TRY 1bn) according to local news reports from the Hurriyet. The deal is said to be announced in a few days.

Lafarge-Yibitas is a joint venture between Lafarge Group and Yibitas Holding. The parties decided to end their partnership and put the company on sale. Lafarge-Yibitas Orta Anadolu has three cement factories in the cities of Yozgat, Corum and Sivas with an annual production capacity of nearly 2Mt of cement and 1.6Mt of clinker.
