Cement sales in Portugal’s autonomous region of the Azores Islands dropped by 0.3 per cent in the 12 months to October 2006, data of the regional statistics office SREA showed. 
 
Sales of cement on the market of the Azores Islands fell by 2.9 per cent in the three-month period, ended October 2006 alone.
