Bolivian cement sales rose 17.7 per cent YoY to 1.17Mt in the period January to September 2006, Bolivia’s national statistics institute INE said.

The southern region of Chuquisaca concentrated 26.79 per cent of the country’s cement sales, followed by the western area of La Paz with 21.9 per cent, the central area of Cochabamba with 18.59 per cent, the eastern region of Santa Cruz with 16.5 per cent, the southern area of Tarija with 9.56 per cent, and the western area of Oruro with 6.76 per cent.
