Nova Cimangola Cement production set to rise
21 November 2006

Angola’s national cement factory, Nova Cimangola, is expecting to rise its current production of 1.2Mt to more than 2Mt as of 2007 with the start of a fourth kiln, under an estimate investment of more than US$100m, according to chairman of the managing board, Manuel Víctor.

Considerable growth in the factory is expected, taking into account the investments in progress in the plant, in view of its strategic relevance in this era of the national reconstruction process.

With this and further investments expected, Nova Cimangola is considering to give an expanded response to the local market, supplying a product with more quality, at lower rate, said Manuel Víctor.

He said the main priority of the company is to reduce demand throughout the national territory.
