India Grasim signs pact with Orissa government for cement unit

India’s Grasim Industries Ltd, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla group said it signed a pact with the government of Orissa state to set up a 3.5Mt integrated cement unit in the state’s Sundergarh district. 
 
The cement unit will be set up at a cost of INR12bn ($268.456m), the company said in a statement. 
 
Grasim said that this is the largest cement project in Orissa state and is expected to be commissioned in three years.
