Work starts on Dong Banh cement plants, Vietnam

Construction began on the Dong Banh cement plant in northern mountainous Lang Son province yesterday October 16, according to local news reports.
 
The plant, to be capable of producing 2,500tpd of clinker, is invested by the Dong Banh Cement Joint Venture Company. 
 
With investment of VND1.3 trillion ($80.5m) for the first phase, the Dong Banh cement plant will be equipped with a production line capable of producing 910,000t of PCB 40 and PCB 30 cement a year.  
 
Dong Banh is the first reverter furnace cement plant that Vietnam undertakes the installing and has localization rate of 40%.  
 
The project will be implemented in 18 months. When operational, the plant is expected to create 400 jobs for local residents.
