The Vietnam Cement Corporation has decided to raise the retail prices in the northern region of its PC30 and PC40 cement products by VND20,000 (US$1.25) per tonne. 
 
The adjustment was due to increasing cost of imported materials while cement prices in the domestic market have remained unchanged over the past ten years. The corporation added that it would adjust the prices of cement gradually in accordance with cement consumption in each region.
