Top cement companies in race for Broh-Shind project in India

Lafarge and Heidelberg, the global cement majors, are vying with 10 other companies for the Broh-Shind cement project to be set up in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. 

Ambuja Cements, ACC Cements, Jaypee Group, Grasim, Saurashtra Cements and Dalmia Cements are some of the other cement companies staking their claim for the project. 

The final decision will be taken on the basis of evaluation made by the Industries Department. Each plant is of 2Mta capacity requiring an investment of Rs750 crore.
