Lafarge inks agreement to construct works in Rostov Region, Russia
The Rostov regional administration has signed an investment agreement with Lafarge, according to local news reports.
The agreement calls for building a cement factory, estimated at Euro 150m, in Rostov Region.
The enterprise will have an annual capacity of 1.8-2.5Mt. The construction project is to take one or two years.
Five potential construction sites are currently under consideration, with the Zhirnov, Chertkovo and Millerovo districts as the most suitable areas because they are rich with the necessary raw materials, the regional administration has pointed out.
