Far East Group has invested US$250m in setting up the cement production plant in Pengzhou. In the first stage of investment, Far East Group invested US$160m in Sichuan Yadong Cement which is expected to produce 1.65Mt of cement a year. When the project fully completes, the cement production base will have an annual designed production capacity of 4Mt of cement. In the long run, Sichuan Yadong Cement targets to produce over 10 million tons of cement in China. It is the biggest Taiwan funded enterprise in the province.
