The new product is produced by the Fico cement plant in Hiep Phuoc Industrial Zone which has a capacity of 500,000 tonnes per year. The factory’s productivity would later be raised to 700-800,000 tonnes per year, said a company representative.
The company has also begun construction on its Tay Ninh cement plant with an annual capacity of 1.5 million tonnes. It is being built at a cost of US$178 million and is slated for completion by the end of 2008. - VNS
