The Lafarge Surma plant in Bangladesh  has started production in its cement mills at Chhatak in Sunamganj district after successful operation of a vertical raw mill and a kiln.  
 
It is the country’s first fully dry process cement in the private sector, said a press release.  
 
Lafarge along with Spanish cement maker Cementos Molins set up the state-of-art cement manufacturing plant in Chhatak.
