Turkey’s antitrust agency, the Competition Board, has given the green light to the acquisition of Turkish cement company Elazig Cimento by Italian cement group Cementir for US$110m (EUR86m).
The recent acquisition is part of Cementir’s internationalisation strategy under which the company has already invested more than EUR1.1bn in acquisitions outside Italy.
Cementir is a unit of Italian construction company Caltagirone.
