Argentine production of Portland cement grew by 21.5% in August, compared with the same month of 2005. The increase is related with the expansion of the construction sector. 
 
The sales of cement to the domestic market have reached 822,596t in August, included the imports. This has involved a growth of 22.1% in comparison with August 2005.
