GCC receives $250m syndicated loan

Mexican cement maker Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) received a syndicated loan for US$250m from a group of national and international banks, the company said on August 30, 2006. 
 
The syndicated seven year loan has been given by the banks Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), Comerica Bank, The Bank of Nova Scotia, HSBC Mexico, Santander Central Hispano, Citibank, Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank and BBVA Bancomer. 
 
GCC will use the new loan to pay other loans it received at the beginning of the current year. It will use part of it for the ongoing construction of a new plant, located in Colorado.
