New kiln for Belarusian plant

The Belarusian Cement Works (BCW) in Kostyukovichi, Mogilyov region, has begun the construction of a new cement kiln with a 600tpd capacity, an executive with the enterprise’s sales department told local reporters.  
 
The kiln is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2007. The BCW also plans to introduce the second cement line worth of $130-140m to produce up to one million tons of cement annually.
 
As much as 1.7 billion roubles have been allocated this year for the construction of the new kiln and equipment modernization. 

According to the economic planning department, in the period between January and June, the enterprise produced a total of 478,900t of cement, which was a 6.1 per cent year-on-year increase.  The plant was put into operation in 1996. It can manufacture 850,000t of cement annually.
