CIMA receives fresh offer from Vicat, Malaysia
Cement Industries of Malaysia Bhd (CIMA) said it has received a fresh offer from French cement company VICAT to acquire stakes in its subsidiaries.
The offer is being considered and a further announcement will be made in due course, it added.
CIMA had received an offer from VICAT in March for controlling stakes in Negeri Sembilan Cement Industries Sdn Bhd, Pemasaran Simen Negara Sdn Bhd, Unipati Concrete Sdn Bhd, Cimaco Edar Sdn Bhd and Cimaco Quarry Sdn Bhd.
Both parties failed to reach an agreement before the expiry date and the offer lapsed on June 1.
CIMA later announced that it had resumed talks with VICAT regarding the stakes sale. Published under Cement News
