Work starts on new cement plant

Construction of a US$210m cement plant began in Tinh Gia district of central Thanh Hoa province on July 4. The plant, invested by the Cong Thanh Cement Joint Stock Company, has a designed capacity of 2500 tonnes of clinker per day in the first phase. Its capacity will be raised to 7500 tonnes of clinker per day (equivalent to 2.8Mta of cement) in the second phase. This is the third cement plant built in Thanh Hoa province. The plant is scheduled to be put into operation in 15 months, creating jobs for around 1000 local workers.  Published under Cement News
