Italcementi SpA said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with its Saudi Arabian partner Arabian Cement Company to start a feasibility study for a new cement plant near the city of Jeddah.  
 
Details on production capacity, timetable, and the size of the investment will be defined once the study has been successfully completed, it added.  
 
In May last year, Italcementi and Arabian Cement Company signed a five-year cooperation agreement.
