Adelaide Brighton Ltd subsidiary Adelaide Brighton Cement Ltd has entered into an agreement with Loongana Lime Pty Ltd for Adelaide Brighton Cement to purchase from Loongana its business assets for the limestone mining, distribution and sales activities at Rawlinna and Parkeston, Western Australia.

Adelaide Brighton managing director Mark Chellew said the purchase of this limestone quarry would provide a small-scale profitable business for Adelaide Brighton servicing the Kalgoorlie goldfields region. It will also provide future limestone reserves in an area of Western Australia identified by Adelaide Brighton as an opportunity for strategic growth as the resources sector continues expansion in Western Australia
