Proposal for largest brownfield scheme
A proposal for the largest brownfield scheme in Northern Ireland was submitted this week. The application for a 153ha scheme in Magheramorne, near Larne, was announced by Lafarge Cement UK last year. An adventure sports facility, an eco-friendly village, nature conservation areas, international film and television studios, a heritage railway line and a visitor centre are all planned.
