State-owned cement maker PT Semen Gresik reported Rp287.3bn (US$32m) in net profit in the first quarter of this year, up from Rp115.4bn in the same period last year. 
 
Sales rose to Rp1.9 trillion from Rp1.4 trillion and operating profit increased to Rp400.8bn from Rp197.7bn, the Finance Director of the country’s largest cement producer, Cholil Hasan said.
