Jordan Cement to raise capacity
Cement producer Jordan Cement Factories Co (JCFC) plans to raise its annual capacity to 5.5Mt in 2008, the company said on April 24, 2006. Cement production rose to 4.04Mt in 2005 from 3.9Mt in the previous year. The company also reported a 27.9 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit to a record 80.8m Jordanian dinars (US$113.8m) in 2005. The strong increase was mainly attributed to a rise in local sales to 193.1m dinars (US$272m) from 147.3 mln dinars (US$207.4m). Published under Cement News
