Eurocement Group and the Segezh Pulp & Paper Mill have signed an agreement on strategic partnership until December 31, 2016. The agreement envisages meeting in full the cement company’s requirements for paper sacks. Further partnership provides for constant joint audit of the process of cement bagging and optimization of design of paper packaging, a consideration of mutual recommendations, long-term pricing policy and the manufacturing of packaging exclusively on new production lines. Special attention was paid to measures to combat counterfeit products.

The Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill, formerly known as Segezhabumprom, is located in northwestern Russia in the Republic of Karelia, about 700km north of St. Petersburg. Segezha mill is a major producer of sack paper and paper sacks in Russia. The mill can now produce up to 350,000t of sack paper and over 500 million paper sacks. Finished products are sold domestically and in export markets.
