Eurocement group to invest in Lipetskcement

Eurocement group will invest RUR537m in development of Lipetskcement within two years to maintain and boost capacities, automate production, develop quarries and infrastructure of the plant to improve quality of products. As a result output of cement in 2006 will go up to 1.68Mt, in 2007 up to 1.84Mt.  Over RUR20m will be allocated for environment protection - in 2006-2008. The plant will upgrade electric filters, install dust-controlling units at cement silos. Total investments in the construction of a new cement plant in the Lipetsk region, with the first stage of 1-1.2Mta, will amount to US$150m. In Lipetsk, Voronezh and Ryazan region the company is also planning to construct three modern cement plants. Price of the project is around $600m. All these arrangments will allow the plant to increase capacities of affiliated plants to 9Mt, the company told Russian news sources. Published under Cement News
