Italian cement maker Italcementi will focus on the Chinese market and will examine its development opportunities in 2006, the company’s CEO, Carlo Pesenti, said.  The company intends to grow in emerging markets, Pesenti added.  

Italcementi is already present in Beijing and in Thailand and plans to expand in the neighbouring countries as well as in the Middle East. 

The company has set up a partnership with Arabian Cement Company in Saudi Arabia, which which it might establish a joint venture company.
