Steppe Cement Ltd said its subsidiary Karcement in Kazakhstan has closed the tender process and has awarded the contract for reconstruction of the raw mills, pre-heater, kiln and cooler of line 5 to FL Smidth. The company said the contract price is within budget for the refurbishment of the line No 5. The total budget is US$73m.
