The largest cement producer in Slovakia, Holcim Slovensko, a.s, Rohoznik wants to merge with Stredoslovenska Cementaren, s.r.o. Banska Bystrica. Both companies deposited a draft agreement on merger in the document collection of the Corporate Register on February 24.

However, Holcim general shareholder meeting will have the final say over the step. It is scheduled for March 29, 2006. Holcim reported sales of own products and services at SKK 3.3bn for last year. The company however closed last year SKK 72m in the red.
