Saudi extends cement exemption
Saudi Arabia will run the exemption on the five per cent customs tariff on cement imports from outside the GCC for another year, according to Gulf News. Saudi cut customs tariffs on cement imports from 20 to 5 per cent in 2005. Prices and supply have come under pressure from increased demand as a result of more building projects.
