Vietnam cement outlook in 2006

Vietnam ’s demand for steel and cement is expected to increase next year. To meet a projected rise of 13.7 percent in steel demand, the country will import some 3.8 million tons of steel billets and finished steel, and 5-5.5 million tons of clinker for cement production in 2006, according to government data.
