Wintgens has left the building
21 December 2005

Randolph Wintgens has decided to retire from Cemex. He joined Cemex in April 1993 as a Cemex Director in Hong Kong, being the first person from Cemex coming to this part of the world. Since then he has been working in many Asian Countries (Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Bangladesh, etc) always showing his total commitment, loyalty and drive to make Cemex bigger and better.

Writing on behalf of Cemex, José Luis Saenz De Miera, Cemex’ Asian President notes that during these years of service, Randolph has added accomplishments to every challenge he has faced (he set up operations in Bangladesh, offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan) and he has always contributed much of his knowledge and advice to Cemex operations.

"All of us who have been working with him have admired his business perspective and skills, his marvelous human side that has allowed him to solve all difficult situations with success. Through these lines I would like to express, on my behalf and on behalf of all of Cemex Asia, my deepest gratitude to him for his great work and permanent good advice."

Cemex shares remain unchanged in early-day trading.
