Southern Province cement elects new board

Saudi cement producer Southern Province Cement (SPC) has elected a new board of directors at a general shareholders’ meeting. The board has a three-year term starting from January 1, 2006. Among the newly elected board members are Khaled bin Turki al-Turki, Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Mansour al-Mayman, Hamad al-Baazi, and Amir Saeed Burqan. 

SPC posted a net profit of SAR323.1m (US$86.2m) for the first half of 2005, up 14.1 per cent YoY.
