Update on Ilam project

Construction works on the second phase of Ilam cement plant is underway with 27 per cent now complete. All the equipments for the development has been purchased and imported, costing about EUR27m. When operational, the second phase would be capable of producing 3400tpd of cement, the plant director said. Daily production from Ilam currently stands at about 2000t.
