Cement maker PT Semen Padang in West Sumatra targets a 56.15 per cent increase in net profit to Rp212.23 billion (US$21.2m) from this year’s target of Rp135.91 billion. The subsidiary of state-owned PT Semen Gresik set its sales target at 5.32Mt of cement valued at Rp2.74 trillion in 2006 up from Rp2.11 trillion estimated for this year. Company president Endang Rizal said next year, the company will concentrate more on expanding domestic sales to gain a higher profit margin. 
 
In the first 10 months of this year the company sold 3.23Mt of cement or an increase of 3.3 per cent from a year before.  Published under Cement News
