Holcim Romania sales up 13.6% YoY Jan-Sept 2005

Holcim Romania, a unit of Swiss cement company Holcim Ltd, sales rose by 13.6%  year-on-year in nominal terms for the first nine months of 2005. The company’s sales grew by 11.6%  on the year in terms of volume during the reported period. 

The Swiss group reported global sales of EUR8.6bn for the first nine months of 2005, up 34% year-on-year generating an operating profit of EUR1.6bn.  The groups’ net profit rose by 58% on the year during the first nine months of 2005, to EUR1.05bn. Sales in Europe accounted for 37 pct of the group’s global sales for the reported period.
