New plant for Shree Cement

Indian cement producer Shree Cement Ltd, has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on October 27, 2005, has decided to undertake implementation of a new cement project of 1.2Mta (Unit-IV). The project will be set up at Village Ras, Dist. Pali, Rajasthan, where the company is in advanced stage of completing another 1.2 million tonnes per annum capacity cement plant (Unit-III).  

Further the company has informed that the Board has also decided to undertake implementation of captive power plant facility of 30-36 MW adjacent to the above cement plants. The estimated cost of project would be Rs3000m for cement plant and Rs 1050m for power plant. The above projects would be financed from internal accruals and debts.   The cement plant (Unit-IV) as well as captive power plant are expected to be fully operational in the year 2007-08.
