Akcansa, Cimsa, Sanko plan to bid for Uzan plants, Turkey

Cement producers Akcansa Cimento, Cimsa Cimento announced in separate statements sent to the ISE that they are interested in the cement plants, previously owned by the Uzan group.

The SDIF (Saving Deposit Insurance Fund) will hold sale auctions for the cement plants.

Akcansa said that it decided to bid for Bartin Cimento, Standart Cimento, Lalapasa Cimento, Ladik Cimento plants. Cimsa announced that it met the conditions set in the tender documents and submitted the necessary documents to the SDIF for Standart Cimento, Ladik Cimento, Sanliurfa Cimento, Gaziantep Cimento and Ergani Cimento.

On a related note, the statement released by Sanko Pazarlama, which is the marketing arm of the Sanko Group, reads that it decided to submit its bids for the cement factories to be sold by the SDIF. However, the statement does not specify which cement plants Sanki is interested in.
