In August, cement production fell by 3.7% to 1,328,000t compared with July.   

In January-August, cement production rose by 9.2% compared with the same period of 2004, to 7,963,000t.   

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in July, cement production rose by 13.1% compared with July 2004, to 1,380,000 tons.   

In 2004, cement production rose by 19.3% or 1,719,000t compared with 2003, to 10,635,000t.   

More than 15 enterprises produce cement in Ukraine, and their total annual capacity is more than 20Mt.
