Jordanian cement producer Jordan Cement Factories Co (JCFC) said it achieved a 16 per cent YoY sales increase to JOD93m (US$131.1m/106.8m) in the first half of 2005.
The sales rise resulted in 14.6 per cent growth in the company’s after-tax profit to JOD26m (US$36.7 m). The strong performance was attributed to the high local cement demand, which has been gradually increasing over the last two years.
