Oman’s Raysut Cement Co. (RCC) said on Wednesday its third production line would increase total output to almost 2Mta to meet the country’s increasing demand. The new line, with a capital expenditure of $50m, is due to come on stream within two months and has an installed capacity of 1Mta.   "We are operating at 100 per cent capacity now," said Mohammed Ahmed al-Dheeb, general manager of the company, adding that RCC is also upgrading its two production lines, which will add another 750,000t of annual output by end-2006.  Earlier this year, RCC raised 15 million rials ($38.96m) through a rights issue to partly finance its expansion and modernisation projects.   Published under Cement News
