Colombia’s biggest cement-manufacturing group, Cemento Argos , almost doubled net profits in the first half of the year compared to the same period of 2004 due to higher income from affiliates’ cement sales, the company said on Wednesday.  Net profit rose to 183.7 billion pesos (US$79m) compared to 94.2 billion pesos in the first half of 2004, Argos said in a statement.
